Caroline Stark’s life has fallen apart. She’s absolutely sure her husband is cheating on her, and what’s worse, she finds out when his mistress crashes their housewarming party for their beach home in the Hamptons in front of everyone.
She’s devastated. Everything she has worked for in her life evaporates in front of her.
So what happens when shortly after the affair scandal, someone turns up dead and all eye on on Caroline’s new man?
Personally, I tend to stay away from thrillers. If I’m being completely honest, I’m a chicken. I can’t sleep at night and they just make me feel anxious and unsettled. If Chapters Indigo had not sent me this book, I never would have picked it up for myself. BUT I am an advocate for genre-breaking. I like to get outside of my comfort zone (sometimes).
A Stranger on the Beach is scandalous, insanely entertaining and smart. Michele Campbell is no stranger to the legal community and it shows. I really appreciate a well educated author.
I read A Stranger on the Beach in less than 48 hours. Short chapters, dual narrators, and an absolutely irresistible ‘who did it’ story. PS. if you (like me) intend to read this book while you’re on a beach vacation, try to read it during the day time if you want to sleep at night…
