A story full of family and personal secrets tied together; DRAMA (yes, we love it), LOVE (who doesn’t eat up a secret love story?), HATE (well of course cause no one is Mother Theresa), and HISTORY (both family & world history) all tied into one book.

Set in three different time periods throughout three different generations of Milton women, this book will keep you invested in these characters and you’ll feel like you are a part of their family. Not to mention, who doesn’t love some good family drama and secrets we know will be exposed in the end?!

This family owns their own island off the shores of Connecticut- yes, AN ISLAND. Parties being thrown all the time, drinks on the dock every night starting at 6 o’clock sharp (made me feel like I was meant to be a Milton, except my first glass of wine is normally around 4:30pm and I’m alone.. anyway moving on), personal chefs, and lobster dinners in cashmere sweaters seem like a pretty good summer life… except for the expectations of being a Milton and the pressure of maintaining an image for your family, while also trying to stay true to yourself.

Three generations of memories and history that has built up in this book starts to overflow with too many secrets and too much drama which only leads to tenser relationships within their children.

Things only get more intense with the third generation of Milton’s who can no longer afford to keep the island for themselves. They face the tough decision on whether to let their family and history go for a hefty profit, or continue to live out their life as the influential Milton family. It’s a tough decision though I’d say once they find out they’d be selling for MILLIONS. All of it will become more clear once they make it to the island and meet some unexpected visitors whom were very familiar with their parents…
